Forget those cheap dollar store toys that come apart in days! Share your ideas for how to find QUALITY toys that will last a while for less. Bargain barns? Clearance? Yard Sales? Where do you look and what do you find?

We have a Goodwill distribution center here in San Antonio and if you go there, you have to literally dig through bins of things (which I almost can't stand), but you can get some wonderful deals. I got a Music Blocks set which I have found online for around $100. I was able to pick it up for 99 cents. I have some little tikes items (workbench and sand turtle) which I got for $1.49 each. Not bad buys if I say so myself.

A very good place to find toys in lots is eBay. I myself agree that there is no reason to buy cheaply made toys. They don't last. So as with the last time that I had a daycare, I am working at having as many of my toys that the kids play with be Little Tikes as possible. I also try to buy VTech, and any other learning toys that I can. If you know where to look you can find them in "lots" for very cheap.

Now, a little trick to this is if you get a "lot" that has duplicate toys that you already have, save them for either when the one like it breaks or for Christmas and relist it on eBay. A "lot" may cost you $20 including shipping and you get 5 toys. At Christmas time one of those toys that you don't want may be something that someone else is looking for on eBay and you may make that same $20 right back on one toy! WOW, 4 toys for free!

I have gotten alot of quality toys on eBay and if you check the sellers feedback and be very careful to read the ENTIRE auction, you can purchase great stuff cheap!

I go to what we have is call Kings daughters store, They have great stuff cheap, the most i've paid is $8.00 for a big item. Be careful check you items good, got stuck with a few items. Yard sales are great too if you find ones that are cheap. I have nice things for day care at cheap prices. I've really been blessed. The most i've spent for one item is $100.00 and that was for a lil' tikes picnic table.
