I stumbled across this while "surfing" the internet. I joined the local yahoo group to check things out. I will keep you posted on what I find. Has anyone ever used freecycle? www.freecycle.org

Here's the description they post:

The Freecycle Networkâ„¢ is made up of 4,600 groups with 5,793,026 members across the globe. It's a grassroots and entirely nonprofit movement of people who are giving (and getting) stuff for free in their own towns and thus keeping good stuff out of landfills.

Can't get much cheaper than free, huh?

If you haven't checked out freecycle, do so. Although I haven't taken advantage of anything or offered anything yet, I have seen everything from furniture and clothing to baby diapers and cereal to computers, ipod accessories and camcorders on the postings. Basically, you get an email a day with all the new postings. It's pretty interesting to see what people offer up.

I belong to the freerecycle.com too. Haven't gotten anything yet but I'm hopeful.

OK, I finally took advantage of an offer. I am getting a Little Tikes teeter totter. My husband will pick it up this weekend. I saw a couple just like it on ebay. They all ran about $70 after shipping charges. Mine....free! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!
