I thought it would be a great idea to post some "cold-weather" or "rainy day" ideas to get kids movin' and get the wiggle worms out.
Here's mine: Make an indoor obstacle course. While we generally don't want the kids running indoors, there is still plenty of things we can do to get their blood pumping. When you create an obstacle course, you can design the fun. Put out cones to zig-zag around; stick tape to the floor to use as a balance beam; crawl over a pile of cushions, under the table and around the chairs; roll side to side like in stop, drop and roll. The possibilities, combinations, and difficulty levels are endless. You can add in some shapes, colors, numbers and letters. Hop to the 4...skip to the square...crawl to the W. Have fun!
What do you do when weather and temperatures force you inside???
